Antimatter appears to be what Immortal Beings drink instead of coffee; Jeff and Michael confirm that there is such thing as "decaf" antimatter. Antimatter can also be flavored, as Val remarks that she dislikes French Vanilla antimatter. Assuming the Immortal Beings aren't made from regular matter, and perhaps have regular matter particles inside of them, this would give the antimatter a "caffeine effect." Because antimatter creates pure energy when combined with its regular matter counterpart, this newly created energy could be the energy that Immortal Beings use in place of regular caffeine for humans. The French Vanilla flavored antimatter described by Val is also a pun because when antimatter and matter annihilate each other, it not only produces raw energy, but also various other particles including quarks. These quarks are differentiated from each other by describing their "flavor"- hence "flavored antimatter."
