Bambadjan Bamba is an Ivorian actor who plays Bambadjan in The Good Place.
Bambadjan was born in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and moved to the United States at the age of 10, living in the Bronx, NY and Richmond, VA. He recently admitted that he was an undocumented immigrant. He attended the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. He helped to found the Sacred Drum Company.
In addition to The Good Place, he is known for his roles in Consequences, Reality, Grey's Anatomy, The Sopranos, and Black Panther.
His character is one of the torturers in Michael's original 'Bad Place'.
His character has the same name as him.
