Betsy is a character appearing in flashbacks in the series The Good Place. She was one of Eleanor Shellstrop's co-workers, but the two had a somewhat belligerent relationship, despite Betsy's efforts to be friendly toward her, such as inviting her along on nights out drinking, specifically on Thursdays (Eleanor accepted, but always shirked the responsibility of being designated driver), and bringing her a cake on her birthday (which Eleanor turned down flat). She kicked Eleanor out of designated driving and tried to make sure that she couldn't cheat the system beforehand.
Nearing the ending of Chapter 2: Flying, Eleanor informs Betsy and the others also going to Thursday Night Drinks that she will be having intercourse with the bartender. This would mean Eleanor wouldn't be able to drive the others home; and in response, Betsy offers an ultimatum. Eleanor declines optimistically, and we can infer that she was banned from Thursday Night Drinks by Betsy indefinitely.
