Manisha Al-Jamil is a recurring character, seen mostly in flashback in The Good Place.
History[]
She is the mother of Tahani and Kamilah. She and her husband died of unknown causes some time before Tahani's death, leaving the bulk of their estate to Kamilah and only some of their fortune to Tahani. In addition they misspelled Tahani's name in the will which indicated that it might be difficult for Tahani to receive her inheritance, Tahani decides to decline anything from their estate and storms out. Both she and her husband are shown to be preferential toward their younger daughter Kamilah and dismissive towards Tahani. It is unknown why Kamilah is their favorite or why they are so cruel towards Tahani. Both she and her husband seemed to have died at the same time as their will executed jointly.
Personality[]
Manisha is shown to be passive aggressive particularly towards Tahani. After going through the tests and getting into the good place she apologizes profusely to both her daughters for everything she had done to them.
