Samuel is a character appearing in flashbacks in the series The Good Place. He was a boyfriend of Eleanor Shellstrop during her life on earth. He was a supportive and understanding boyfriend to Eleanor and generally made a conscious effort to be a good person, working as an EMT. Eleanor, however, ended up pushing him away sometime before her first death, as they fundamentally disagreed on that the effort to be good was worth it in a difficult and complicated world.
